Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.
– Psalm 127:3 (NIV)
As both a family law attorney and a dad, I start every custody consultation with two questions:
-
What do you believe would be best for your child?
-
What do you want?
Most of the time, the answers are the same. And our job is to make that answer a reality.
Too many parents walk into our office thinking they have to accept a lesser role in their child’s life...that a custody case means fewer rights, less time, and less influence.
That couldn’t be further from the truth. Some of the most meaningful moments of my career have been winning parents the parenting time and rights they deserve…and that their children need.
You’re not here because you enjoy browsing the internet. You’re here because custody decisions are looming, and you have more questions than answers.
Maybe you’re worried your bond with your child will be weakened. Maybe you’re unsure how judges decide custody. Or maybe you just want to make sure your child’s needs stay at the center of the process.
But you know that what you can’t do is sit back and hope for the best...because once custody orders are in place, they shape your family’s future for years to come.
No matter what questions you’re asking, no matter what fears you’re carrying, my experience in family law has taught me this: there’s always a way to fight for your child’s best interest while protecting your rights as a parent.
But an internet article...even one of ours...isn't enough. You’ll need to go deeper. That’s why we're not a cookie-cutter, subscription-based legal firm. We're the ones actually getting to know you, your child, and your hopes for the future.
So, if you’re ready to do this the right way...with a team that's just as much lawyers as they are parents...feel free to get in touch. There’s no commitment on your end, and no obligation to hire us.
We don’t promise outcomes. We don’t guarantee results. That would be unethical and irresponsible. But what we can do is, when the dust settles…make sure you know you fought with everything you had to protect your role in your child’s life.
